Friends, I am so proud of myself today. I have all my Christmas cards stamped and mailed and I am done Christmas shopping. Aside from a couple of small things that I plan on picking up at the Pineapple Commonwealth this week, every person on my list is accounted for.

It’s shocking and surreal.

I’m usually the crazy lady you see running around Target or Walgreens on Christmas Eve, frantically throwing everything I see in a basket. Then I’m up until 4:00 in the morning wrapping everything.

Not this year. I am all over that shit. I have completed my mission. I even have wrapping paper, bows and – Gasp! – extra Scotch tape at my disposal. No finishing up the gifts with packing tape and chewing gum, as per usual.

I’m feeling pretty smug. And relaxed.

It’s almost like I don’t even know myself. In a good way.

Now I can devote next week to cookies and fudge.

I’m off to get myself ready for two days in a row of working at the Pineapple. But – I will leave you with this (it’s what I imagined happening when we brought our Christmas tree in this year):
